The Athlete

Jezzy is an amazing girl for several reasons.  I think that the most unusual and special characteristic that she has is her patty-caking.  For those of you who have not owned a wire, patty-caking is waving with both paws.  Most wires do it sometimes, but Jezzy does it whenever she wants something.  She patty-cakes to indicate what she wants just like a 2 year old points.  One of her favorite things to eat is ice, so she often will run in the kitchen and patty-cake at the freezer until we come and give her what she wants.

Jezzy has now also proven herself as a mother.  She whelped her first litter November 21, 2002.  She required a little assistance with the first puppy because he was so large.  This was Porthos.  He was nearly 3 ounces larger than the other two!  She was a trooper and delivered the next two on her own.  She loved being a mother very much and thought that her puppies were the coolest things in the world.  Most people think that having puppies would be stressful on a bitch, but with Jezzy, it was just the opposite.  She proved herself yet again as a brood bitch on August 5, 2003, and her final litter was whelped December 9, 2004.  A wonderful bitch was produced in that final litter, Jagwyrelee Nantucket Sunset.  Jezzy is now spayed and will live the rest of her life on my pillow!
